Too many new website owners do not realise that to appear in the search
engine results pages, you have to get them or the search engine 'robots'
to visit your site. It is up to you to get the robot to do this.

has paid submission and with no guarantee you will get listed, it is
better to work on your own website to improve its' search engine friendliness
to help you get included.

wants the following included in its' search submit index:
* Original and unique content of genuine value
* Pages designed primarily for humans, with search engine considerations
secondary
* Hyperlinks intended to help people find interesting, related content,
when applicable
* Metadata (including title and description) that accurately describe
the contents of a Web page
* Good web design in general
To submit your website for free, do a Yahoo search for your type of
website; the search results will appear and if you are not there, scroll
down to the bottom of the page and click SUBMIT YOUR SITE. Yahoo!
will then ask you to either sign in or sign up for an ID so make sure
you do that.
