Are all your eggs in one basket?

Today I received an email from a dedicated, hardworking eBay seller with 100% feedback as she has been NARU'd. She now is working at getting reinstated and this takes time so her business is suddenly halted. For her this is devastating as it is coming into the busiest time of the year for her. At the click of a button, it can be all over!

Is eBay the only place you sell?
Have you looked into other avenues of selling online?
Do you keep up a back-up list of your eBay newsletter subscribers?

2008 would have to be one of the most testing years for eBay sellers with all the changes we all have experienced and with more to come, start to consider ADDITIONAL options of where you can sell and try a few out.

The best place to start is subscribing if you do not do so already to Auction Bytes, an online trade publication. Costs you nothing and keeps you up to date with all the latest news for online auctions [not just eBay].

If you only rely on eBay search results to bring traffic to your store or auctions, did you know that you can easily add your eBay listings to your own website?

Do you have a Facebook account? Some clever programer has created an 'application' that adds your eBay listings to your Facebook profile. Yet another way to attract traffic to your listings.

Have you looked into becoming an eBay affiliate? More and more websites are now appearing dedicated to advertising eBay listings and nothing else. Visit the eBay Affiliate site to learn how you too can do this and receive commissions for advertising other seller's listings.
